Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 0800- 1700 EST

 

Location:  Contracted personnel performing in support of this contract will be assigned to the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) in Falls Church, Virginia but will work at the Contractor’s facility or remotely

Responsibilities

 

  • Support administration and management of healthcare clinical measurement activities at the headquarters level.
  • Utilize national healthcare quality measurement systems including:

    • HEDIS
    • NPIC
    • NSQIP
    • TQIP
    • NCQA
    • Oryx
    • Hospital Compare
    • Leapfrog

 

Quality Measurement & Reporting

  • Assist with processes for assessing and reporting healthcare quality across the Military Health System (MHS).
  • Analyze clinical measurement data to evaluate quality and safety of care.
  • Identify trends and performance gaps within the healthcare delivery system.

 

Data Analysis & Performance Improvement

  • Interpret clinical measurement strategies and technical specifications.
  • Analyze and display clinical performance data.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives based on measurement results.

 

Program Consultation & Expertise

  • Provide subject matter expertise to Clinical Measures leadership.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefs for multiple stakeholders across the MHS enterprise.
  • Provide guidance on participation in national quality registry databases.

 

Education & Support

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and education to Networks and Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
  • Support procedures for clinical measurement management and evaluation.

 

Monitoring & Tracking

  • Monitor quality and safety indicators within healthcare delivery systems.
  • Maintain understanding of clinical measurement strategies and analytics.

 

Project Reporting

  • Provide Clinical Measurement project updates for inclusion in the CQM Weekly Performance Report.

Qualifications

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required
  • Maintain current unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure
  • 10 years combined clinical and administrative healthcare experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in clinical quality, clinical quality measurement and clinical quality improvement at a large healthcare system, corporate healthcare or HQ
  • Experience with technical healthcare clinical measurement (HEDIS, NPIC, NSQIP,TQIP NCQA, Hospital Compare and Leapfrog)
  • MHS/DHA experience preferred
