Overview

Location: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii

Pay Rate: $23.80-25/hr + $4.41/hw

Work Schedule:  Operational Hours: The schedule days and hours are as follows: Duty hours will be 0730-1630 Monday through Friday with an allotted non-billable lunch hour, based on the time zone of the MTF. Work hours may be modified to the needs of the department, not to exceed eight (8) hours per day or 40 hours per week. The specific schedule for each two-week period will be provided one month in advance. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and 9 the COR or designated Government representative.

Responsibilities

  • Primary member responsible for coordinating the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP). Develops and maintains up-to-date databases on EFMP enrollees and maintenance of Special Needs Identification Assignment Classification (SNIAC) records.
  • Ensure up-to-date demographics and medical information are on file. Transfers and closes cases as necessary and in a timely manner as family members PCS., separate from the DoD, or special needs no longer IAW Regulatory Information Management Systems/records disposition schedule and IAW AFI40-701 or Defense Health Agency equivalent.
  • Upon special needs identification by provider or sponsor, ensures patients/sponsors/provider/SNC completes all paperwork in a timely manner, and notifies the sponsor.
  • Processes completed paperwork through proper channels.
    Ensures tracking in system is developed, addressed, and maintained in a timely manner (internal section tracker and MyVector) for incoming/outgoing family members.
  • Coordinates updated information with the Military Personnel Flight, obtaining rosters as necessary to ensure all Special Needs families are “Q” coded properly in the DoD wide website data base.
  • Ensures those new enrollees are identified to the MPF to be coded in the military personnel data system (MilPDS).
  • Utilizes various computer software programs (electronic health record (EHR). database, work excel, internet, MyVector, PowerPoint, e.g., as necessary) in researching networking and/or exchanging information and establishing files.
  • Inputs all updated medical information into the DoD Special Needs database. EHR, and internal section’s tracker.18
  • Responsible for ensuring hard copies and electronic records are maintained IAW Special Needs Identification instructions. Responsible for annual review of all records by contacting the sponsor for updated information and record it in the EHR. Collaborates with EFMP-Family Support and relevant agencies to help family member with special needs.

Qualifications

Degree/Education (5.2.4): High school diploma or equivalent. Some college credits preferred.

Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be qualifying if approved by the requesting location and the Contracting Officer.

Experience: At minimum of 2 years of medical administration services is required
