Duty Hours: The Radiology Department is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. As such, services under this task order may be required any day of the week (Monday through Sunday), any time of the day (from midnight to 11:59pm). Each HCW shall normally provide services for a range from eight and a half (8.5) to twelve and a half (12.5) hour period (to include an uncompensated one-half (0.5) hour for meal break), Monday through Sunday. A typical work week is five (5) days (0730-1630). Services may also include weekends and holidays. A typical month will include (one (1) – two (2) weekend shifts and one (1) – two (2) weeknight shifts. Weekend (Day/Evening) and weekday evening shifts shall also be scheduled monthly. One week of six (6) night shifts (1900-0100) may be scheduled quarterly. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and the Government. Work hours can be flexible so that if work requirements are greater than forty (40) hours in a given week, they will be adjusted to ensure performance of no more than one hundred ten hours (110) hours in a two-week period/pay-cycle per FTE. In no instance will each HCW work more than the hours provided in the SLIN description of the task order.
On-Call (Off Site): Diagnostic Radiologist– The HCW shall take general radiology on call nights and weekends, including holidays, with a resident physician taking in-house call duties. The HCW shall normally provide general radiology call for up to two (2) to three (3) days per month. While on call (off-site), the HCW must respond to a page within ten (10) minutes and be able to interpret images (via Government issued laptop) by teleradiology within thirty (30) minutes of images becoming available, or return to the hospital if the clinical need dictates. An alphanumeric pager will be provided for use by the hospital. Clinical cases on call include all organ systems and types/modalities of radiological studies, including nuclear medicine and neuroradiology cases. On-call services begin at the end of the scheduled night shift and shall continue until commencement of the following day (0730 hours). Three-day weekends are typically split up between staff radiologists. Historical data indicates that the on-call physician responds to an average of up to one (1) to two (2) calls per on-call period. Calls requiring that the physician present to the medical facility occurs on an average of one occasion per on-call period or less. On-call requirements are variable and depend on the current level of radiology staff and their availability to share on-call. Compensation for On-Call services is separately priced. The on-call schedule will be provided one (1) month in advance. It is estimated that up to 200 hours of on-call pager hours may be required annually.
Overage Hours: Should the HCW be required to remain on duty past their regularly scheduled shift due to patient safety or continuity of care, the HCW shall invoice for these hours on the appropriate overage SLIN. It is estimated that the HCW may be required to provide 40 overage hours per year.
GENERAL DUTIES: Contractor personnel shall perform a full range of duties consistent with their labor category, education, training, experience, clinical privileges (as applicable), and assigned position. General duties that apply to all personnel or across certain labor categories are given below.
Duties – Specific. Diagnostic Radiologist (Fellowship Trained) The HCW shall provide services within the scope of the clinical privileges granted by the MTF Director, the applicable duties provided in the basic contract, and the following:

Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Possess fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology, Abdominal/Body Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Breast/Women’s Imaging, or Pediatric Radiology with American Board of Radiology certificate of additional qualifications in Pediatric Imaging.
Experience: Possess experience as a Fellowship Trained Radiologist of at least two (2) years, within the preceding three (3) years.
Board Certification: Possess and maintain a current Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology accredited by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Licensure/Registration: Have experience in a subspecialty area of Diagnostic Radiology in accordance with fellowship training of at least two (2) years within the preceding three (3) years. Time in fellowship counts towards practice or experience.
