Overview

Overall Position Summary and Objectives: 

 

Under this task order, the contractor will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute of Mental Health. The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.

 

  • Full-time, up to 40 hours/week, with no set schedule.
  • Elegible for teleworking some days

Statement of Work Details: 

  • Operates MRI scanners following the guidelines from research protocols.
    • Triage screening of healthy volunteers (HCs)/patients for contraindications related to fMRI and MEG scanning.
  • Participates with staff in collecting and analyzing MRI data by measuring and quantifying MRI images of various structures.
    • Coordinating/maintaining intraoperative reports for implants. Maintain documentation for audits
  • Manages data from the collection phase through transfer and analysis, ensuring accuracy of data storage and efficiency of data transfer, backup and statistical analysis.
    • Primary point of contact for HCs for screening, development protocol scanning. Scheduling of fMRI and MEG tasks
  • Participates in writing research reports, notes and protocols incorporating details of experimental methodology and statistical approaches.
    • Handle consents, clinical scans, coordinating OP4, coordinating payments, scan documentation, recording-keeping, etc.
  • Recommends new ideas and directions of study for future research in the laboratory.
    • Primarily liaison between clinical and neuroimaging points of contact for protocols. Attend research meetings and ensure that imaging is scheduled in a timely fashion
  • Independently initiates collecting and analyzing MRI data by measuring and quantifying MRI images of various structures.
    • Point of contact for protocol coordinators when scheduling neuroimaging to ensure scans are scheduled during scheduled ETPB scan time . Coordinate with IRTAs to ensure scan coverage
  • Manages data from the collection phase through transfer and extensive analysis, ensuring accuracy of data storage and efficiency of data transfer, backup and statistical analysis.
    • Ensure that data is transferred by primary IRTAs
  • Develops and coordinates the training program for staff in MRI measurement techniques.
    • Ensure that data is organized/structured appropriately . Maintain database/CRIS documentation
  • Tracks the quality of data from research protocols.
    • Provide back-up assistance with scans when needed, to include familiarity with ETPB-specific scan requirements 1
    • Familiarity with secondary equipment important for scanning (stim computer, EEG computer/peripherals, extraneous equipment necessary for scan protocols) 2
    • Trains all trainees/staff on protocol-specific experimental task administration

  • Bachelor's in medical imagine or related science field

  • Clinical trial management, work with special populations (children, adolescents, adult, elderly)
